MICHELIN Asymmetric Technology
An asymmetric tyre* incorporates three different compounds
on the tread (3CT): extra soft on one side, soft on the other,
andmediumin the centre.
The asymmetric MICHELIN Power
One is reversible, the harder shoulder (marked ‘AST+’ on the
tyre sidewall) intended for side of the tyre undergoing the
highest stress (the most corners), while the softer shoulder
(marked ‘AST-‘) goes on the side that takes less stress (fewer
corners). Thus it can adapt to virtually any circuit layout.
